Testing new booking software…
by Mark Greenmantle on Apr.21, 2010, under commercial photography, photography schedules, print sales, wedding photography
There’s been a plugin available for WordPress that allows bookings to be made via the website and the advanced versions allow for Paypal payments and lots of customization. The point of it is of course to make the call to action easier and safer for my photographic clients. I want to of course ensure that this process is done securely and with the greatest of ease. Give the calendar a try, it’s currently only a form of easy contact that shows bookings and no payments are available. Should this version work securely, I will consider purchasing the version with Paypal integration and more suitable customization.
To kick this into gear, I’ll take 20% off regular bookings until the end of May. (Wedding photography prices and commercial photography are always calculated case by case depending on client needs or licencing)
Don’t hesitate to enjoy this discount, book a family portrait, model folio, pet photography or band shoot now!
hrmmm zombies you say? & some after dark fashion in the CBD
by Mark Greenmantle on Mar.13, 2009, under fashion, historial reenactment, nightclubs, wedding photography
They’re back!!! Once again zombies are about to take over Fortitude Valley for another night of madness. Club Blink has a zombie theme again tonight so I can safely assume I will rock up home tomorrow morning half covered in fake gore and with two full CF memory cards of undead undead undead. The hoard of living dead will arrive online at http://greenmantle.biz/BLINK once the images are processed.

I also got to grab some fashion shots in the CBD while visiting Faith Nightclub last weekend. Pictured below is Jess in a corset and some killer heels. Sorry, no brands to divulge, we were just aiming at an overall look to go with the great architecture at the top end of town.
Un souffle court avant de plonger la profonde

A quick breath before the great plunge.
So much to get sorted in such a short time and after a day of fighting with the pc’s here and at my business partner’s home, I just want to chill and take time out. Mais il ne doit pas être! No chance, Friday will be retouching/deep etching fifteen shots I captured yesterday for Bankwest, sorting out what the malware on this beast pc is, buying a new HDD and installing that before returning Khrys’s WD640GB with fresh tunes and a big thanks, then wrapped up with *hopefully* a shoot with the gorgeous Imogen Green. I would love for anyone who has heard of couples due to be married and looking for photographers to contact me. My calendar is wide open after the Abbey and call me odd but I do enjoy that kind of work!
*edit* Imogen’s shoot is off due to lack of sleep last night for all parties, which never makes for relaxed times in the studio.
and… I just had an email regarding my first sale of photos from the History Alive event as well. The owner of the World War Two German Half Track (shown below) wants a print. I hope he doesn’t mind the use of the DX lens on the D3!

The image below is the old Queensland Museum taken with the Nikon D3, hand held half an hour after sunset. Available as prints on request.
