Droids, iPhones, Windows Mobile ect

Mark Greenmantle Photography is now viewable via your mobile device. I’m still testing the different code for functionality and style but the essentials are (for now) up and running.
In other news, I’m looking forward to seeing the advances to Adobe Creative Suite when the shiny new CS5 is released in October this year. Fingers crossed that we might be able to test the beta version at Digilab Professional where it would certainly get a very good workout. Recently the newest version of Adobe Lightroom 3 beta2 was released for testing and it’s certainly winning me over, despite what seems to be a memory problem or gremlin in the code. My work copy had an issue with my Wacom drivers and other Adobe forum users reported the need to update drivers. Oddly though, I was using the latest Wacom driver. Using identical system setup here at home I’ve had less hassles and use the same drivers. *shrug* It’s a beta, these things are expected. Keen to hear anyone else’s experiences with Lightroom bugs using the new beta. And here’re a few photos:
Facebook Group, Nikon Camera Control Software

Blatant self promotion here – well, that and testing if my brain can handle messing with code while under attack of a migraine… seemed like a win, showed in preview juuussst fine but the CSS for the main page refuses to allow the iframe tags. I’m looking at purchasing a copy of Nikon Camera Control software for running tethered shooting in studio and think I have found the cheapest source for the latest version. I’ve messed with the trial versions previously and found it fun but soon will be integrating the laptop as a real tool for studio work to give instant high res feedback to models, creative directors or direct clients as to how their shoots are appearing on file. As the files pass from the D3 to the laptop hard drive via this software, they then get grabbed immediately by Adobe Lightroom for bulk edits, keywording on the fly and rating mid shoot.
Adobe Lightroom gliches – still troubleshooting
by Mark Greenmantle on Jan.13, 2009, under commercial photography
I currently have a backlog of about six hundred shots for Club Blink and Trash Saturdays nightclubs waiting to be uploaded. This is courtesy of some code error in Adobe Lightroom and will be corrected very soon. The error may be a built in limitation to Lightroom’s standard web templates as I’ve already tried many methods of correcting the FTP settings for the program.
